My brother is coming to visit next week, He lives near Yosemite and this is one of many photos from a trip to visit him in 2014 and our little day trip to Yosemite National Park. I sure wish it was not on the opposite side of the continent!
Yellowstone's Grand Loop road crosses the Gardiner River bridge with Mammoth Hot Springs ahead. The main geothermal terrace and colorful Canary Spring is in the distance.
A closer view of Canary Spring in comments.
Thanks for taking a look and for any comments, faves and support.
This is the State park I went to on Sunday. The park was beautiful and clean. There was a great trail along the river but I didn't get far before it started to rain..;( Nonetheless, I still got lots of pictures..;)
“Most people, including yourself, apparently, think The Moldau is about a river. It is not. It is a metaphor. It is about the progress of life, from its fragile beginnings through its joys and turbulence and on to its end, its magnificent end.”
― Gerald Elias, Death and Transfiguration
The Applecross peninsula (Scottish Gaelic: A' Chomraich, 'The Sanctuary') is a peninsula in Wester Ross, Highland, on the north west coast of Scotland. The name Applecross is at least 1300 years old and is not used locally to refer to the 19th century village (which is correctly called 'Shore Street', or simply 'The Street') with the Applecross Inn, lying on the small Applecross Bay, facing the Inner Sound, on the opposite side of which lies the Inner Hebridean island of Raasay.

My appreciation and thanks to all of you for your comments awards and faves !!!!
I was looking through some old images and this one caught my eye. I love the mysteries of Maine's landscape and felt compelled to post this one:)
In between the constant showers there was a brief break - so off came the rain cover for about 15 seconds - then it really chucked it down!

“A river has many curves, but it always reaches the ocean.”
