Joensuu is a small town in Finland. It's name translates to: rivermouth or Joe'smouth :-) Sorry about the low resolution. Image got destroyed by some of the post processing apps I used last night :-)
Another of my takes for NYC skyline at night.

New Holland Honeyeater (Phylidonyris novaehollandiae)
I wandered on to the balcony to see the rising moon last night, even with the cloud. While I was there Nev stopped by so I decided to try a shot using the speed-lite.
Fireworks over Parliament of Budapest, Hungary
The Hungarian Parliament Building, also known as the Parliament of Budapest for being located in that city, is the seat of the National Assembly of Hungary, one of Europe's oldest legislative buildings, a notable landmark of Hungary and a popular tourist destination of Budapest.
It lies in Lajos Kossuth Square, on the bank of the Danube.
It is currently the largest building in Hungary and still the highest building in Budapest.

I decided to look at my digital archives, to recover and reprocess some old straight-out-of the point and shoot camera jpgs.
I'll post one picture every thursday, with the motto "Great places, bad cameras"

After the snow has fallen
At home in ‘the yard’.
It’s cold and quiet. The only sound is an owl hooting, but I very rarely see one.
Enjoying the peace and quiet.

Late at night When everyone is asleep,
I am talking to the moon about the cocoon which is about to break and give birth to a beautiful butterfly,
I am talking to the stars about the fireflies that lit up the forest just like stars lit up the night,
I am talking to the breeze about it's coolness and the whistling of the leaves,
Im talking to the god about the harmony of the mind and inner peace to connect the soul. ♥

A night time panorana of Tokyo Bay with the Odaiba Statue of Liberty in the foreground and the Rainbow Suspension Bridge behind. The Rainbow Bridge is illuminated with glowing lights, sometimes in rainbow colours, for special holidays and events.
The Statue of Liberty stands roughly 40 feet tall, about 1/7th the size of its New York counterpart. Originally erected temporarily from 1998-1999 to pay tribute to Japan’s ties with France, the statue was returned permanently in 2000 due to its popularity.
As if one Statue of Liberty replica was not enough, Japan has at least a couple more scattered about the country. I stitched five shots together to create this panoramic view.
So cool to have red foxes in the backyard of our cottage in Austria...taken with my Camtraptions kit.
Il arrive quelques fois que je sorte de ma zone de confort. Voici un exemple que je voulais partager avec vous
There are times when I step out of my comfort zone. Here is an example I wanted to share with you
Taken in almost no light at all at 4AM, converted to monochrome and added to the grain.
These folk do great work!
A BTS skytrain approaches Asok station above the bustling intersection of Sukhumvit and Ratchadaphisek Rd on a soggy night in Bangkok.
I hope you had an enjoyable weekend my friends and are looking forward to the new week!
“At sea there is no advocacy. We are free from that most noisome form of falsehood, which corrupts the very inward of the soul. Truth is one of the great gifts of the sea. You cannot persuade yourself nor listen to the persuasion of another that the wind is not blowing when it is, or that a cabin with half a foot of water in it is dry, or that a dragging anchor holds. Everywhere the sea is a teacher of truth. I am not sure that the best thing I find in sailing is not this salt of reality.”
