Photo Rejected yet meets criteria

I looked through the rules and I can't seem to locate anything that indicates that images have to be created using florals that are uncut or in a vase specifically. It's a shame, though, because these scans showcase the beauty of flowers so well. For what it's worth, the elements are cut and arranged on glass (similar to being in a vase, I guess) from my garden. I do see where it says images with black backgrounds may be rejected, though if it showcases the florals I'm not sure I understand why that stipulation exists.
