Bellísima, altiva, peligrosa, almenada, orgullosa, misteriosamente fascinante.

Lou Reed.

This was shot with a 2-stop neutral density filter. The camera was on a mini tripod about a foot off the ground.

Thanks for viewing!

A look back after a new snow dump and removal for most of the day, sick of snow, so a visit to the lake in autumn with a final light. Hope you enjoy and happy Sunday!

Ardvreck Castle on Loch Assynt during a very clear star filled sky

**************************************************************

The Yellow Wagtail feeds on numerous aquatic and terrestrial invertebrates. She captures insects on the ground after a short chase, but also while flying. She pursues her prey with a fast waving flight, or flutters briefly before capturing it. On the ground, she hunts while walking, exploiting all kinds of surfaces from the roads to the roofs of houses and other places discovered.

She can catch prey by running and pecking to grab it. It also happens to jump in the air to catch a flying insect.

Another shot from my first foray back to Vivid Sydney. It’s been a few years since I’ve ambled through the festival with a camera so it was good to get back and see this amazing city with the lights turned on. 💡💡

Lliw Valley reservoir.Swansea Wales.

This looks like it should be in the Canadian Rockies, or perhaps Iceland. It is Middle Fork of the Yuba River below the dam at Jackson Meadows where water is released under pressure, creating a thundering spray of water over the waterfall. The full effect is shown below.

Hope you are enjoying a late August Sunday. Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind comments -- I appreciate them all.
