As seen at the San Diego Botanic Garden.

White azalea shrub in our garden.

My cat, Mr. Purry Furry, is getting to be quite an old gentleman now, but he still "works" with me in the garden. He prefers a supervisory role to "hands on" :) He is a very pleasant companion!

The Botanic gardens have been shut most of this year due to covid

The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC has an incredible Azalea Garden. The colors were spectacular.

A snapshot view of the flowers, sculpture and other paraphernalia that lies within our garden. This record is for the many changes that have taken place over the years. This selection is from May 2020. This was a good year for blooms.

Singapore Botanic Gardens are an oasis of natural beauty and tranquility in a highly urbanized city. The Gardens were established in 1859, and retain the same layout and historical buildings until today.

The Gardens are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and are a global center for plant research, development, and conservation. This was a key institution involved with the introduction of rubber trees in South East Asia, which became a major cash crop for the region.

The greening of Singapore is a direct result of the Gardens' efforts, which devoted their expertise and resources to transform Singapore into the Garden City that it has now become.

The National Orchid Garden has the world's largest display of orchids, and is part of Singapore Botanical Gardens' orchid breeding program, with a repository of one thousand species and two thousand hybrids.

May you all have a very happy, safe and blessed Easter.

It's not easy to have a nice garden. It's like ruling a kingdom. You must also love imperfections, otherwise you will be disappointed

New Mini Challenge # 162.0 ~ The Award Tree

~ October Days ~ The Award Tree ~

Although the main design for the estate at Stourhead was created by Colen Campbell, there were various other architects involved in its evolution through the years. William Benson, Henry Hoare's brother-in-law, was in part responsible for the building of the estate in 1719. Francis Cartwright, a master builder and architect, was established as a "competent provincial designer in the Palladian manner." He worked on Stourhead between the years of 1749–1755. Cartwright was a known carver, presumably of materials such as wood and stone. It is assumed that his contribution to Stourhead was in this capacity. Nathaniel Ireson is the master builder credited for much of the work on the Estate. It is this work that established his career, in 1720.

The tip of my nose tingles

Whenever I’m next to you

My eyes close and I get languid

Feels like I will fall asleep

Should I softly hug you?

Filled with the scent of jasmines

I hear my heart pounding

Maybe you and I have dreamed of this time

I will open the secret door

that I only I know and invite you

For you, who has opened my closed heart

Only you know my garden

Whisper the secret confessions

that only we know

Our stories that no one else will know

When the door opens, love will start in this place

Should we walk as we hold hands?

Filled with the scent of jasmines

You come to my shy face

And your lips sweetly touch my cheek

I will open the secret door

that I only I know and invite you

For you, who has opened my closed heart

Only you know my garden

Whisper the secret confessions

that only we know

Our stories that no one else will know

When the door opens, love will start in this place

Sometimes, I get nervous

But I want to believe you like I am now

Be with me by my side forever

in this place, my love

I will open the secret door

that I only I know and invite you

For you, who has opened my closed heart

Only you know my garden

Whisper the secret confessions

that only we know

Our stories that no one else will know

When the door opens, love will start in this place

This moment, with the dazzling day
