River banks in SE England

I patrol river banks local to me in and around the river Thames and its tributaries, the Loddon and the Kennet. I'm seeing a lot of old fallen trees, more than new growth.

Hi, what do you think causes this? Increased groundwater levels perhaps (ie. wet, mild winters)?

I’m in South Essex, across the river..👍

Hi, yes there's been a lot of flooding over the years around the river Loddon close to me. Also, many walkways I tread are simply not managed so tend to just disentegrate. Appears to be no money n no investment.

⬆️ “across the river”.

That was me thinking you are in Kent. Whoops, it’s ok I’ve got it now. 😂
