Shortly after our organization was founded in 2019 we recognized the need for low-cost carbon measurement software that could quickly deliver insights for sustainability teams to act on. We set out to offer a free tool, usable by any company, to get a ballpark estimate of their annual GHG emissions, and so The BEE took flight.
The BEE’s free estimation tool has been extremely successful to date, delivering tens of thousands of GHG estimates since its inception. With an estimate, sustainability leads can quickly understand the magnitude of their company’s emissions and identify hotspots — enough to begin the internal conversations to budget, plan, and take responsibility for those ongoing emissions.
Today we’re thrilled to announce an update to The BEE to help companies move beyond initial conversations to more reduction insight and action — still for free, in a matter of minutes. This update aims to support a sizeable segment of the market: small and medium sized companies that want to customize an estimate with data from their business; that are making progress on reduction projects, and want to measure impact; and that need a GHGP-compliant measurement for basic sustainability reporting, but not an expensive enterprise solution for investor-grade reporting.
With this update, companies can add a variety of data to The BEE to further tailor the results to their business, such as:
It all takes only a few minutes to enter. With more data, the measurement will more accurately account for each company’s unique business operations, reflecting the hard work you’re already doing to reduce emissions and enabling more targeted reduction planning and tracking over time. (Without the additional data, you can still generate an estimate of GHG emissions for a company like yours — based on size (opex), location, and industry.)
Add as many data points as you can easily access, and as always, we’ll estimate the rest. Whether you make metal water bottles, provide marketing consulting services, or sell kids’ granola bars, in a matter of minutes you can generate a free, versatile, and insightful carbon inventory for your business.
What does all of this mean for the state of carbon measurement tech? Well, we believe tools like this should be democratized, not paywalled, so that we can collectively move faster towards the big goal of reducing emissions.
Give it a try today and see how quickly you can see results and dive in.

Numi Organic Tea has built climate action into every layer of its business — from regenerative farming to compostable packaging and emissions tracking. In this Q&A, co-founder Reem Rahim shares how the company approaches sustainability across its global supply chain.

With climate progress often feeling out of reach these days, this eco-conscious mom started asking what she could actually control. Consumer spending is a powerful lever — but only if you know which brands are genuine climate leaders. The Climate Label does just that, by certifying companies that fund verified climate solutions in line with their emissions.

Cairnspring Mills combines regenerative farming, regional sourcing, and small-batch stone milling to reduce carbon across its flour supply chain. The Climate Label certification formalizes their emissions accounting and funds actionable reductions that support farmers and local resilience.
