• Hello,

I am using the WPC Variations Radio Buttons for WooCommerce plugin and I noticed that it changes the product name across multiple places in WooCommerce, not only on the product page.

For example, the variation title (in my case a date like “2026. MARCH 14–15.”) replaces the original product name in:

    • the checkout order summary
    • the order received (thank you) page
    • the customer email
    • the admin order details

This makes the orders a bit confusing because the main product name disappears and only the variation title is shown.

I could not find any setting in the plugin that allows disabling this behavior. Ideally I would like the plugin to modify the variation selection UI only on the product page, but not change the product name in orders, checkout, emails, or the admin area.

Could you please advise if there is a setting, filter, or recommended way to prevent the plugin from modifying the product name in these places?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Best regards,
    Bence

    Hi @vitaio ,

For your information, the Custom name and Custom image option were supposed to override the default variation name and image as they were named after the ‘terms’ specified for each variation.

If the custom name/image doesn’t replace the default ones, they won’t work properly. So you can only either use the default ones or the custom ones. In case you don’t want the custom name/image to replace the default ones in cart/order/invoice, etc. you can consider using another way to provide additional description for each variation, such as variation short description.

    Best regards.
