    Hello,

So, I see this has come up before, and I don’t want to cause any trouble or unneccessary work, but I am not seeing the filename field when I have a look at a media item.

I note you’ve asked for a list of plugins in the past. Here are the ones I am using:

    Check & Log Email
    Contact Form 7
    Disable Comments
    Disable URL Autocorrect Guessing
    Email Address Encoder
    Flamingo (currently deactivated)
    Jetpack
Kadence Blocks — Page Builder Toolkit for Gutenberg Editor
    Ocean Custom Sidebar
    Ocean Extra
    Ocean Social Sharing
    Phoenix Media Rename
    Real Media Library (Free)
    Redirection
    Solid Security Basic
    WP Activity Log
WP Armour - Honeypot Anti Spam
    WP Mail SMTP
    WP Revisions Control
    WP Sitemap Page
    WP-Sweep

Given what it does, I tried deactivating Real Media Library before I sent this, but it made no difference, and the filename field still doesn’t show up when I view an item in the media library.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Oh, and I should mention that when I have a look at the details about the plugin, there’s a message saying the plugin has not been tested with my current version of WordPress. I’m running 6.9.4, which is the latest without getting into the 7.x prerelease stuff.

It also says there have been no updates in 6 months, which might just mean the code is stable and bug free, but could mean other things too. It would be great to figure this out. Thanks.

    Hi @jrpstonecarver,
I’ll try to create a development server with the same configuration of plugins you are using as soon as possible.

I didn’t release any update in the past months because I’ve made no changes to the code, maybe this will be the case ^^

Just a doubt (some user uses the wrong visualization in WordPress’ media library): are using the list or the grid view?

Thank you for reporting and for giving me the list of your plugins

Nevermind. When I switch to list view (which, I will be honest, I didn’t even know was a thing), I can see the filename field. I will continue my testing.

That said, it would be great if the documentation mentioned this somewhere. If it does, I never saw it, so it needs to be more obvious.

Alternately, making it work with grid view would be good too.

In any case, thanks for pointing out my oversight. Please close this as “not a bug” or “reported in error”. My fault.

    Hi @jrpstonecarver,
I’m glad the problem is solved, I can’t add the filename management to the grid view, because WordPress doesn’t expose any method of customization for that view.

I will check the documentation, in the web site there is some screenshot that shows the list view, but it could be useful to add a clearer explanation to the readme.

Thank you for your feedback, I’ll close the thread marking it as “not a support question”.
    C.
