    WordPress Origin Story

    Our founder, Syed Balkhi, first started using WordPress in 2006 when he was 16 years old in high school. In 2009, he launched a WordPress resource site called WPBeginner to help non-techy beginner users learn WordPress. Since then, we have used our user’s feedback to build some of the most popular WordPress plugins in the market. Today over 20 million websites use our plugins and apps.
