works nicely and am using it currently - try it out, at

there are no directory indexes, but maven is happy without - the .pom, .jar etc files are accessible
e.g. http://p2000.github.com/JSON-java/repository/org/json/JSON-Java/git-df6190f3fc/JSON-Java-git-df6190f3fc.pom
