This pull request updates the get_endpoint function to check if the domain already contains an http:// or https:// scheme before prepending the default scheme, and adds corresponding unit tests. The reviewer suggested making the scheme check case-insensitive to handle uppercase schemes (e.g., HTTP://) robustly.
