Typhoon Detection · MetaEarth Lab, KAIST · Scraped and processed a typhoon satellite image dataset with thermal/infrared/UV channel transformations. Trained ViT and YOLOv8 (modified for 6-channel input) for detection, and designed a regression model with a Kalman filter for path prediction. |

Weld Defect Classification · OERL Lab, KAIST · Transformed raw OmniPC weld scan data into 1D (linear intensity) and 2D (spatial) representations. Used 1D CNN for binary classification and Faster R-CNN for multi-class object detection on the spatial data. |
