Well, that's unfortunate. I used to be preview users, since the stable release took so long. Though I'm fine with it, as long as the stable release is faster from now on. |

Sadly,no. Microsoft has removed the option. Despit considerable community opposition. |

...and in case others are new to the conversation, the decision to remove MSI installers came from other teams within Microsoft and not the PowerShell team. 🖖 |

That may be the case. But the decision has never been explained fully. The decision appears to have been made without any consultation with the community. While MSI had issues, it was well known and well understood. While MSIX may eventually be a great replacement it is not currently a FULL replacement wirh no published plans for fixing the shortcomings. The decision was a poor one and not focused on the community. |

I'm not arguing that. I just don't want to see a fresh round of bashing against the hard-working PowerShell team when their hands are tied, and they aren't always allowed to talk about internal Microsoft decisions to the depth that we all want to hear. We may need to find out what team in Microsoft really needs to hear that feedback directly. |

Good release, but shell still crashes on some native apps when they were ending their work. (Linux): An example with play (sox package). There are much more such apps : |
