I think that I shall never see

A poem lovely as a tree

A tree whose hungry mouth is pressed

Against the earth's sweet flowing breast

A tree that looks at god all day,

And lifts her leafy arms to pray

A tree that may in summer wear

A nest of robbins in her hair

Upon whose bosom snow has lain,

Who intimately lives with rain,

Poems are made by fools like me,

But only God can make a tree.

Lots of Trees in my City are with funny or strange formation....I like old trees....all of them, they have

seen so many generations of people, weather change, wars...but they are still living !!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR VISITS, COMMENTS AND INVITES !!!!

Have a great day, cozy evening and sweet dream night !!!

My husband says this leaning, lone juniper is my favorite tree. Over the years, I've photographed it many times against the distant Sangre de Cristo mountains in the evening. I shot it again earlier this month, on one of the most cloudless evenings we'd had in weeks.

Cedar Waxwings help themselves to a tree full of cherries near Fort Vancouver. This one looks like it's really enjoying the feast.

Since I need some winter images for a proper photo calendar i looked for something worth capturing during those days when we had at least a little bit of snow.

Actually the amount of snow we had wasn’t even enough to cover the grass on this hill, so I cloned out hundreds of grass blades, which was great fun.

Not.

The Humble Administrator's Garden has an entire section full of bonsai trees.

The Humble Administrator's Garden is one of the prized gardens in Suzhou (it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and was originally completed in 1526 and took 16 years to build. In ancient times, prominent Chinese men would retire and build huge gardens as a symbol of their wealth and taste. This garden was originally commissioned by Wang Xiancheng and was designed by Wen Zhengming.

trees, forrest, magical

A capture from my recent visit to snowdrop Valley, Exmoor. It's a 5 portrait shot 'stitch' after breaking my 10-22mm lens! A PL filter was used to control reflection on the water and WB cloudy to enhance the available colour. Also sharpened during editing.

"EVIL LOOK !" but they are not ! Very intelligent birds, quick to exploit any new food, including tapping on my window! can become remarkably bold and inquisitive, they also mate for life even if they are unsuccessful in breeding! ! Seen in my Garden on a dead tree, Minster Thanet Kent. U.K.

"I thank God for the changes he has made in me"!

Long ago the owners of this garage decided that the trees had come first. They liked the shade, so they worked around them!

Loved that small mound with a tree upon the crest jutting out of the main island, which is important turtle nesting point in Andaman islands...taken at Kalipur beach near Diglipur, North Andman.

Joshua Tree National Park, California

Sunrise near the north entrance to the park, a transitional zone between the Mojave Desert (the Joshua Tree is the signature plant) and the Sonora Desert (note the small cholla cactus with its glowing spines close to the Joshua Tree).

Tree on a misty morning at Eye Bridge near Wimborne.

This is a side view of the famous Avenue of Oaks at the Boone Hall Plantation, SC. The trees were planted in 1743 by the original owner John Boone. Originally there were 86 trees lining the road to the house. Two of them were destroyed by the lightning. If you pay closer attention you will notice a gap between the third and fourth tree.
