The House at Leura

A relatively short 90 minute drive from Sydney is the township of Leura, in the heart of the Blue Mountains.

So this is an old-style mountain retreat (circa 1920) with a cool-climate garden. And, best of all, a walk up to Leura Village yields several cool cafes serving flat white coffee.

In this garden, in the foreground, is a yellow-flowering azalea. Next to it, on the left, is a white flowering rhododendron. Further to the left, not yet in flower, is a lavish purple flowering azalea (you can just see one or two flowers appearing), and after this is another yellow azalea, and then a variegated pink & white rhododendron, and finally a pink azalea.
