He initially finds life in this traditional setting to be disconcertingly unfamiliar, struggling to navigate a culture that feels foreign to him or truly connect with more naturalized peers. Yet he finds himself gradually growing fonder of both them and the kampung\u2019s more tranquil way of living, thanks to several heartwarmingly comedic adventures. His story authentically explores the experience of \u2018Third Culture Kids\u2019, celebrating universal bonds of belonging & friendship while conveying the realities of cultural reintegration. Previous works in his portfolio include \u2018Kapak\u2019 (2023) nominated at Sarawak\u2019s 20th Mini Film Festival; the experimental film \u2018FORYOU32GODSAVEOURCHILDREN\u2019 (2023) nominated in 2024 at the Taylor\u2019s University Film Festival; and the mini-documentary Kintsugi (2024) that won 1st Runner-Up at Echo Film Fest: The Sequel. produced take on the comical yet all too real shenanigans which often ensue when a family\u2019s image clashes with more closely held personal beliefs. Best Actress Awards also notably went to both Hana Roanne in Abid Danish\u2019s Tragedy of Youth, and Kimberly Chuah for her portrayal of the charming yet wily Suzy in Syalikh Nazrul\u2019s Flat No.4.
