It doesn’t appear that any source-code changes are required. PyO3 0.25 brings Python 3.14 support, and this change allowed me to build watchfiles for Python 3.14.0b2 in Fedora Rawhide, at least for x86_64; I do expect that I will be affected by PyO3/pyo3#5175 on i386.

@samuelcolvin got the same issue with python3.14.0-b2 :) possible to merge?

And release a 1.0.6 🙏

I’ve rebased this on the just-released PyO3 0.25.1, which shouldn’t be affected by PyO3/pyo3#5175.

these tests seem to be something flakey with windows, as they're now failing on main, I'll fix that first
