Title pretty much says it all.
I'd like to cancel the API-First weekly meeting and replace it with ongoing discussions here on groups.drupal.org. When it seems necessary to have a live discussion, we can always schedule one as needed.
I think it's very difficult for all the interested parties to be available for the weekly meeting and often it has to be cancelled at the last minute because e0ipso, Wim Leers or myself aren't available.
Finally, we have no record of the discussions in those meetings and I feel that things often get forgotten.
Does anyone object?

Fully +1 on the idea.
Fully +1 on the idea. I was couple of time very close to join on the Monday meetings but Monday is always too hectic and I either forget or can not participate :).
Note that it's mostly from curiosity at the moment, but I am sure it will be beneficial to have at agendas or topics followed by discussions and decisions on them.
Slack meetings.
If we have some agenda items to discuss then there is also an option of having slack meetings just like #D9Readiness.

I know I have missed the last few meetings but to be honest I kind of enjoyed having the weekly Google hangouts chat. I understand though that it's not always easy to have it and so will work with either this group for discussions or Slack as Jibran suggested.

I like the idea of a Slack discussion on a weekly basis, but I hear you @axle_foley00.
I wonder what you all would think if we had a weekly Slack discussion but a monthly "live" call. Maybe the last meeting of the month could always be "live".
@gabesullice, yeah that
@gabesullice, yeah that sounds like a good idea and is worth a try.
