Recruiters mainly look for:

  • 2–4 strong finished projects (better than many unfinished ones)
  • Clear README files (what it does, tech stack, how to run it, screenshots/demo)
  • Clean, organized code + meaningful commits
  • Real functionality (APIs, database, auth, deployment = big plus)
  • Pinned best repos on your profile

Avoid: tutorial clones, incomplete projects, or missing documentation.

Simple rule: can you build something real and explain it clearly?
