Expected Behavior:

• Post-approval, account should reflect GitHub Copilot Education access.
• Education-specific features (e.g., extended usage, settings) should be visible in the dashboard and functional in VS Code.

Actual Behavior:

• Account remains on the GitHub Copilot (Pro) tier despite approval.
• No Education options are visible in the dashboard or VS Code.
• Errors persist when attempting to use Education features.

Steps to Reproduce:

• Log into the approved GitHub account (approved for Education on Jan 17, 2025).
• Observe Pro badge in settings (second image).
• Check GitHub Copilot status: still shows Pro tier (third image).
• Navigate to dashboard: no Education options (fourth image).
• Attempt usage in VS Code: errors occur (fifth and sixth images).

System Information:

• OS: Windows 11 Home Single Language 64bit (10.0, Build 22631)
• MSVC: C/C++ Optimizing Compiler Version 19.42.34436 for x86
• vscode: 1.96.4 (cd4ee3b1c348a13bafd8f9ad8060705f6d4b9cba x64)

Request:
Investigate the mismatch between approval status and active subscription tier. Ensure GitHub Copilot Education is activated and functional in both the dashboard and VS Code.

However, the GitHub Copilot subscription remains on the Pro tier and has not upgraded to GitHub Copilot Education:

Attempting to use GitHub Copilot Education via VS Code (version: [insert version]) also fails, as shown here:

It only displays "Claude 3.5", "GPT 4o" and not "GPT o1"

Anything else I should check before posting:

• I have checked out the available documentation answering commonly asked questions: Octernships FAQs; Student Developer Pack Application & FAQs;
• I have tried some suggested solutions: Attempted all recommended troubleshooting steps (e.g., cache clearing, configuration adjustments), but none resolved the issue.)
• I have reinstalled softwares: Uninstalled and reinstalled both VS Code and related dependencies (e.g., extensions, SDKs). The problem persists post-reinstallation.
• I have reauthentication, logout, login, reseting token, reseting password but still failed (no improvement observed other than wasting time lmao)
• I have searched these boards for previous threads describing similar problems.
