My first internship was with a automotive manufacturing company called Yamada North America. While interning with the company, I worked to infuse manufacturing software and technology into YNA's workflows. I developed an API to connect two disparate manufacturing data systems. This API helped YNA production associates automatically perform measurement checks without manual input. I honed my professional Python development skills, learned to use JSON, and became adept with web/network development.
After completing my internship project (end of August 2024), I became a full-time Software Engineer for YNA. In this position, I've worked as the Lead Engineer and Assistant Project Manager on a new ERP project, LotCom. LotCom is a Lot Control (manufacturing data tracing) ERP system that revolutionizes manual data collection and tracking. This project is a four-part Distributed System that comprises of a Label Printing Application, Handheld Scanners, a Scan Processing Service, and a robust Client Application.
I graduated from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio in 2024 with a BA in Computer Science and a BA in Music.
While studying, I took a particular interest in software engineering, agile methodologies, quality control, and design.
After graduating, I completed a Software Engineering internship at Yamada North America.
