I often do not update apps like messenger unless I have to but this timeI decided to update wishing for new features. Befor update it worked smooth without problem but now after it, Messenger works a lot slower and scrolling in conversation is very hard. The update did not accually do anything but making the app work slower. Please fix it because it is painful to use and for me - a person who uses their phone pretty energically and fast; it’s a big problem when I want to check something really fast. The app itself is good and I don’t have any issues to it but this really is a problem.Thanks.
Unacceptable Privacy and Data Practices

While this platform has long been a classic and functions exceptionally well, this 1-star review is directed entirely at Meta's overarching direction regarding user privacy. The app's technical performance is not the issue; the problem lies in the rollback of basic privacy standards, such as end-to-end encryption (E2EE), and aggressive data collection policies.In my opinion, compromising user anonymity is simply unacceptable. As a user, I am deeply concerned by the massive harvesting of metadata—tracking our connections, locations, and habits across the entire Meta ecosystem. Furthermore, the practice of using user content and interactions to train AI models feels like a massive overreach and a violation of consumer trust. Coupled with the increasingly intrusive and overwhelming presence of in-feed advertisements, it is clear that we are treated merely as data points for hyper-targeted marketing rather than people with a right to confidentiality.I believe that robust privacy standards and data sovereignty should be the foundation of any modern social platform. This complete disregard for user privacy will undoubtedly force me, and likely millions of other users, to seek out alternative applications that genuinely respect these fundamental rights. Until secure communication is prioritized again, I cannot recommend this app.
„Faster, easier messenger” test

If I only could give one star or a negatywem number, I definitely would. There are no words on the world that could express how bad this new version that is now being tested is. Options, that I used every week: creating polls, reminders - are gone. Options that I used daily - pressing the main emoji longer to make it bigger, trimming video or turning off the sound before sending - gone. No more autoplay on videos. Forwarding pictures from the ones that have been sent in the conversation before now calls for 5 clicks instead of 2 that you needed. All the pictures in the newly created multimedia album now open in default with a top and bottom bar that covers some od the picture and you have to tap to hide it. And the friggin stories! I unfollowed everyone who ever added to the story because I HATE THEM (stories, not people). Now their stories keep popping up on the second position of active users and you have to unfollow it everytime someone adds a new slide to the story (and some people do it constantly). Imagine: Unfollow. Each. Story. Slide. One. By. One. All of those people are still on my „unfollowed” list. I could go on, because you literally broke everything that was good in messenger.

Hello. Good day. I have some things to say about this (I guess) newest, “improved” version of Messenger. The main improvement is that the app is mangled beyond any recognition; using it feels like slamming myself in the foot with a brick. The polls are gone, the emoji tab is gone, the hold-and-pop main emoji of the conversation is reduced to a pathetic regular sized emoji, the photo quality has somehow gone even more downhill (unbelievable), the entire layout of the app and gallery is akin to a five year old’s general idea of what a crossword puzzle should look like. Don’t even get me started on what happened to the entire photo and video taking feature, because I don’t think you’re ready for it. Actually, you are - one-sized brushes, no cool camera settings, one available font, terrible “minimalistic” vibe of it all. How come someone decides stripping Messenger off it’s most valuable features is a great idea and should be called an “improvement”? The 2016 version that crashed every time you breathed in it’s direction seemed more reliable and well equipped. Using the app is a nightmare. Please, let me wake up from it.
