I’m not one to write app reviews, but after using this app for over a year my house plants are in amazing condition. I’ve got an everything from monstera, calathea, ferns, lilies and much more and they’re all in great health. As long as you stick to the recommended watering schedules and I personally use some ‘baby bio’ (ten drops per 1 litre watering can) your plants should be as healthy as mine.

If I followed all of Planta’s tips, most of my plants would die.

I signed up for a month’s subscription and I have to say overall I’m disappointed. A lot of the information for plants isn’t accurate, especially how frequently plants should be watered. If I followed Planta’s advice on this most of my plants would die. The watering periods are far too far between for about half or more of my plants and some are advised to be overwatered to the point that it would kill them. I’m fairly certain if you water outside the suggested dates the app doesn’t take that into account at all and will still advise you water when it feels you should, and if you have a poor memory like mine, that can lead to a very sick plant very quickly.The Dr Planta feature is so inept it should be scrapped.The identifier is very hit or miss and has incorrectly identified many of my plants. Misting most plants isn’t required at all, especially given humidity levels where I live: it would result in rotting plants and a lot of mould in my apartment. Repotting date suggestions are useless and do not reflect any of my plants needs.However, I do enjoy the feature where I can list my plants, take photos and keep notes, but other than that, the app just isn’t worth paying for in my honest and personal opinion.

I have noticed a definite improvement in some of my plants since I started using this to keep track. I have too many plants to remember specific watering schedules for so this is excellent for that.
